Our custom stainless steel cabinet clamp will fit most stock installed cabinets. Specifically, the clamp will surely fit kitchen cabinet between .75" - .80" (3/4" - 13/16") in thickness. This of course applies to kitchen shelving too. If the cabinet edges are beveled or routed, our clamp will most likely not hold. The visible tab/area after installation are only 1/2 x 5x8".
The wood on kitchen cabinets can vary. You will have either a soft or hardwood. For your hardwoods, it is suggested that you pre-drill or tap down about 3/8" to allow for effort free insertion. For these hardwood installations, a 1/16" drill bit (.0625) would be perfect. The thread diameter on the screw in decimal form is .10"
If you have a softer wood, using the 1/16" bitt but only a 1/4" or less tap hole will do. The screw will bite and drive down easily for the remainder of the screw depth.
Absolutely! As a matter of fact, a couple of customers (in just as many days) just recently reached us via the Chat to ask questions. One in fact, suggested we add this page. Please ask us any question related to the product. If it is information for the general good we will add it to the FAQS section.
