Our Story
Born and raised in Houston, Trevor A. Chargois is a natural creator who loves to innovate. After a 25-year corporate career, Trevor embarked on a new journey, supported by his loving wife. During his transition, he explored various business ideas and ultimately invented the Banana Bungee!
The Banana Bungee, like many great inventions, was created out of necessity. Trevor's wife, Paulette, was on a mission to declutter their kitchen and asked for a solution to keep bananas off the counter—a common issue in many households. Dissatisfied with the typical banana holders and stands, Trevor designed their own solution. Thus, the Banana Bungee was born!
The initial concept for the Banana Bungee emerged in October 2015, and the finished product was launched in late 2016. We have built robust business relationships that support our production, assembly, marketing and sales requirements.
We are proud that the Banana Bungee is made almost entirely from materials sourced in the United States. It is hand-assembled in the Houston Metropolitan area, with the mold manufactured in Pearland, Texas, and the injection molding using FDA-approved materials performed in North Houston. Our bungee cord and characteristic yellow pull-tab webbing are bulk purchased from suppliers in Rhode Island and Alabama.
Creating and thinking creatively have been lifelong pursuits for Trevor. The Banana Bungee, a U.S. Patented product, is a testament to his innovative spirit, and we couldn't be more proud that it came to life at this particular stage of our journey.
